Why the Owner's role can't be changed
The Owner is fixed. Change Role doesn't appear on the Owner's profile, and Owner isn't one of the roles you can assign to anyone else.
What's happening
Every team has one Owner. There is no transfer step: the Owner's role can't be reassigned, and nobody else can be made Owner.
The Owner also can't be removed from the team, by an Admin or by anyone else. The Owner is the only person who can manage the team's subscription and use referrals.
Good to know
- The roles you can assign are Admin, Editor, Scheduler and Member.
- An Admin has everything the Owner has apart from the subscription and referrals, so an Admin can run the team day to day.
- Everyone except the Owner sees Ask your team owner to upgrade on the plan screen, where the Owner sees the button that starts the purchase.
