Resend a message that failed

A message that didn't reach the chat stays in the conversation, marked as failed, so nothing you wrote is lost.

What to try​

  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Long-press the failed message. A menu opens with Retry, Delete and Copy text.
  3. Tap Retry.
  1. If it fails again, tap Copy text so you keep what you wrote.
  2. Tap Delete to clear the failed message, then send it again once you're back online.

Good to know​

  • Delete only clears the message from your own screen. Nobody else received it.
  • Photos and files that failed to upload have their own retry: tap the failed attachment in the message.
  • On web, hover over the message and use Retry or Delete from there.
  • If a reply you sent from a notification fails, OnStage sends a second notification telling you to open OnStage.
