Delete an event chat
Clear an event's conversation out of your Chats list once the event has passed.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin. What the roles mean Online only: You need internet for this. Why buttons disappear offline
Steps
- Open the Chats tab.
- Find the chat under Events.
- Swipe the chat to the left. A red Delete appears at its edge.
- Tap Delete.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete again.
Good to know
- A chat for an event that hasn't happened yet can't be removed. You get a note reading You can't delete a chat for an upcoming event. You'll be able to delete it once the event has passed.
- Deleting a chat removes the whole conversation, for everyone, and can't be undone.
- Your team chat has no Delete. It stays as long as your team does.
- Deleting the chat leaves the event itself untouched.
